The arrival of an international fair redefining the island’s art scene

Mallorca takes a decisive step in its cultural positioning with the arrival of Art Cologne Palma Mallorca, a new international contemporary art fair taking place on the island for the first time from 9 to 12 April 2026.

Driven by the prestigious German fair Art Cologne, in collaboration with Art Palma Contemporani and supported by the Balearic institutions, this event marks a turning point in Palma’s artistic calendar. It is not simply another fair, but a carefully conceived format designed to connect international collectors, leading galleries and the local creative ecosystem.

A new stage for art in Mallorca

The event will take place at the Palau de Congressos Palma Bay, a contemporary seafront venue that reinforces the international character of the fair.

The fair will bring together 88 galleries, offering a carefully curated selection ranging from modern art to the most contemporary proposals. A combination that reflects both the strength of the market and the energy of new generations of artists.

The fair is structured into two main sections:

GRAND SALONThe central space, featuring between 25 and 30 galleries, presenting modern, post-war and contemporary art, including established proposals within the international circuit.

PARKOURA more dynamic and experimental section dedicated to emerging galleries and contemporary artists, introducing a more current perspective within the overall experience.

Palma, a destination for collectors

The choice of Mallorca is no coincidence. In recent years, the island has established itself as a meeting point for international collectors, artists and gallery owners.

Palma offers an active and diverse cultural scene, with institutions such as Es Baluard, Fundació Miró and Casal Solleric, alongside a growing network of private galleries and independent spaces. Events such as Nit de l’Art and Art Palma Brunch have contributed to positioning the city as a year-round cultural destination.

The arrival of Art Cologne reinforces this evolution, placing Mallorca on the map of major European art events.
