This year, the APD Sailing Regatta celebrated its tenth edition, once again connecting Puerto Portals and Ibiza through an experience where sailing, business, competition and Mediterranean lifestyle coexist in a truly unique way. Every year, entrepreneurs, executives and professionals from different sectors board a variety of sailing yachts to cross the Mediterranean towards Ibiza, competing against one another throughout a day where networking happens naturally — far removed from traditional formats and much more connected to shared experience.

It does not happen inside a meeting room.

It happens while sailing between Mallorca and Ibiza.

The fleet’s departure from Puerto Portals, one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic marinas, marks the beginning of a crossing where each yacht becomes a small team in motion.

Manoeuvres, strategy, coordination, spontaneous conversations on deck, music, moments of tension during the regatta and the final arrival in Ibiza create an atmosphere that is difficult to replicate anywhere away from the sea.

Between manoeuvres, wind and navigation towards Ibiza, there was also room for creativity. The Puerto Portals yacht received second prize for the official video clip of the crossing — a concept created by MallorcaSite.com from within the onboard experience itself, reinterpreting a song while incorporating several of the ideas proposed by the organisers.
