Cala Llamp, which lies less than two kilometres from the emblematic Port d’Andratx, has some of the most modern, spectacular houses on Mallorca. Cala Llamp is one of Mallorca’s best-kept secrets. And not because the place isn’t well known, but rather because the privileged residents of this housing development are fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the most delightful sunset the island has to offer.

The exclusive homes in this area are spacious, modern and luxurious, with large windows that let the Mallorcan sunlight flood in and open-plan gardens, and pools that seem like an extension of the sea itself.

Next to the beach, on the rocks that slope down into the sea, stands the Beach Club Gran Folies, one of the most emblematic on the island. It has different restaurant areas, sunbeds and a saltwater pool where you can have fun and chill out before heading home.

Cala Llamp is the site of Torre de Sant Carles, a 14thcentury military fortification built to defend the island from incursions by pirates.

And Port d’Andratx itself is less than two kilometres away from Cala Llamp - one of the most picturesque areas of Mallorca, and very lively, particularly in summer. Port d’Andratx has some exquisite restaurants, with a year-round supply of fresh fish brought in every day by the traditional fishing boats, as well as some lovely cafés, fashion boutiques, interior design stores and art galleries.

The port itself is home to the Puerto de Andratx Sailing Club, one of the oldest on the island, which offers a mooring service for yachts, a regatta schedule, a sailing school and a delicious restaurant.

Just a few minutes away by car, Golf de Andratx is consolidated as one of the most demanding 18-hole courses on Mallorca, surrounded by Mediterranean woodland that delights players as they go round the course.
