We are deeply proud to be one of the collaborators of the "Balearic Blue Pact" by the Marilles Foundation. A fund dedicated to the long-term conservation of the Balearic Sea.

Committed to the Future

Their mission focuses on the preservation of the Balearic Sea and its coastlines. They strongly believe in harmonizing the conservation of marine ecosystems with sustainable economic development. They collaborate closely with other foundations and private donors, receiving significant financial support from the Adessium Foundation. Each contribution to Marilles enables the implementation of projects aimed at conserving the Balearic Islands.

The Balearic Blue Pact

The Balearic Sea is a source of benefits, pleasure, leisure, and well-being. Its preservation is essential to mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure the future of sectors such as fishing, tourism, nautical activities, and the associated jobs.

However, we face a crisis in the Balearic Sea. The numerous pressures it faces have led to the disappearance of species, habitat degradation, and a decrease in its environmental quality, endangering its ability to provide well-being and sustain economic prosperity. In this context of climate change and growing uncertainty, it is imperative to take measures to halt this decline and restore its ecological health.

The Balearic Islands aspire to become a global benchmark in marine conservation, demonstrating that it is possible to reconcile economic prosperity with excellent marine and coastal ecosystems. The challenge is enormous and requires ambition and bold measures.

However, to make the conservation of our sea a priority, they need the support of the entire Balearic society. Therefore, they also call on representatives from the private, public, and civil society sectors to join us in this important effort
